Bedtime Brownies by Malissa Fedele

Here's how to make your own!

Ingredients:

  • 50g unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 100g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup almond meal
  • 1 banana, mashed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup Night Night Hot Choc
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup crushed almonds (for extra crunch)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup brown sugar (for extra sweetness)

    Method:

    Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 180C. Line a square baking tin with parchment paper.

    Melt the chocolate and butter: In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter, almond butter and dark chocolate, stirring until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly. 

    Add to food processor: To save time, simply add all ingredients into a food processor and blitz until smooth, approx. 15 seconds. Fold in crushed almonds.

    Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking tin and smooth the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out with a few crumbs attached for a fudge texture.

    Cool & serve: Allow the brownies to cool completely in the tin before slicing and serving.
